Code Enforcement Officer minimum qualifications: 2 years of experience related to inspection, building inspection, land use, public administration or a related field; some knowledge of code enforcement principles, practices and methods as applicable to a municipal setting; working knowledge of applicable laws, standards and regulations relating to various land use, nuisance and public safety codes; working knowledge of inspection techniques; and other job-related skills and abilities. Starting pay range for Code Enforcement Officer is $39,967 - $43,228 DOQ/experience
Unlicensed Asst Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator minimum qualifications: Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License; ability to obtain a Class I St of Ohio Wastewater License; ability to obtain a Class I St of Ohio Wastewater Laboratory License. Preference given to those already holding state licenses. Starting pay range for Unlicensed Asst WWTP operator is $34,164 - $36,951. For those currently holding a license starting pay range is $39,900 - $43,228. DOQ/Experience

Applications can be obtained and returned to the City Manager’s Office, 631 Myrtle Ave, Willard OH 44890 through noon on Fri, March 19, 2010. There will be a non-refundable application fee of $5.00 due at the time the application is returned.
A written examination to establish eligibility lists for the two positions will be given on Wed, March 24, at 4:00 p.m. at “The Depot” in the Willard Municipal Park (off of Main Street). Please note: No one will be admitted into the room after 4:00 p.m. A picture ID is also required at the time of testing. The city requests 5 days advance notice to make reasonable accommodations for disabled persons.
Applicants for both positions must provide proof of high school graduation or GED equivalent and proof of a valid OH Driver’s license with their application. Successful applicants must pass written, oral, medical, drug testing and reference inquiries. EOE
City Ordinances require employees to live inside Huron County or one of the abutting counties within six months of hire.
